ThinkPad L14 Gen 5 laptop uses 50% recycled aluminum for the top cover and 50% post-consumer content (PCC) recycled plastic in the bottom cover. The speaker enclosure, battery casing, and AC adapter are all comprised of 90% PCC, while the keyboard frame uses 60% PCC. Keycaps use 70-85% (depending upon backlighting). What’s more, our packaging is Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC)-certified and is 100% recycled and plastic-free.

Accessible Design
Setting the standard for broad accessibility, our redesigned ThinkPad keyboard now includes tactile markers on the most common keys for improved discoverability, as well as an LED braille bump to easily indicate the charging port location. The fingerprint reader is paired with the power button for an easier experience. We’ve even increased the size of our TrackPad to 120mm / 4.72″. Our iconic red TrackPoint still lets you navigate — but with a double tap, it opens a customizable TrackPoint Quick Menu to optimize audio-video settings.
